Art Point

As part of the Art Point event Te Ohu o Onekiritea hosted an art pop at the Te Kawerau ā Maki whenua on Onekiritea/Bomb Point. Onsite we had renowned artist Charlotte Graham working with one (sand paints) to create works of art with people who visited the pop up. We also had rongoa practitioner Emma Haslam share her expertise with community.

A week before the event, the sign we erected stating the whenua belonged to Te Kawerau ā Maki was vandalised. We turned this into an art installation.
